Reports—Asked and Answered

Standard Reports

Our software has a library of more than 100 standard reports, most of which can be run by a variety of “ranges”:
  • Payroll period
  • Month
  • Quarter
  • Year
  • Date range

And you can sort them every which way you choose:
  • Alphabetically by employee
  • By department
  • You tell us

Translation: you want a report that tells you what you paid John Smith in 2007. Or you want a report that shows you exactly what you paid everyone in the Sales Department, one-by-one.

Customize and Configure

When it comes to customization, tell us what you want to know, the format in which you’d like to see it (.xls, .csv, .pdf, etc.) and we’ll give you an estimate to create and generate it. Oftentimes we can create quieries and export them to an Excel file for you. Plus, if you’re one of those report-writer-savvy people, you can access the report writer module and write your own report!

Workers Compensation Reporting

You can rest assured that we can have your Workers Comp reporting covered. Give us your codes and rates, and we do all the set-up. You can attach codes to individual employees, or even to different departments within your company.

Other ways we simplify Worker’s Compensation and provide the information you need:

  • We can include a report that calculates your premium amount; that means you don’t have to spend time manually figuring out the employee’s overtime premium. You just copy the information we provide to the report you submit to your insurance company.
  • In addition to the Worker’s Comp report you’ll get with each payroll, you can also request a report that is time-specific. For example, if an auditor needs to see Worker’s Comp figures from January to March, you can get one report showing all pay dates in that range.

Job Costing

We can allocate earnings and deductions to specific “jobs” or cost centers that you designate. For each payroll, your report can show you earnings, deductions and taxes totaled by job. For example, a construction company might want to have one total for roofing, another for plumbing and yet a third for “no job.”

Certified Payroll Reporting

Our system can generate a weekly, certified payroll report. We populate the employee and payroll information into the report, which you can submit accordingly. You’ll get a separate report for each job. For example, an employee works 4 hours each day for 5 days for the City Fire Department contract, and another 4 hours each day for the same 5 days for City Elementary School.
